Feed me!Clare+ Noughty but Nice
Clare+ wants YOU to be ‘NOUGHTY BUT NICE’ on Saturday 6th February (WEEKEND OF WEEK 4) in E168 and then party like a rockstar on Monday 8th of Feburary at Spread Eagle in Shoreditch.
We’re hosting our very own ‘BUILD-A-ZINE’ day, and we want all you lovelies to get involved.
>> ZINE (a dictionary definition) – an inexpensively produced, self-published, underground publication.
Come join us (room TBC) any time from 10am to 10pm to lend a hand in the production process. It offers a fantastic opportunity for all those interested in Clare happenings, the media at large, the creative industries and just life itself to really efficiently get some hands-on experience of how things work in this world in which we live.
Whether contributing your work, your time, or both, the day promises to be oodles of fun. Members of the Clare board and anyone else who we can rope in too will be on-hand to offer on-the-spot training and guidance on basic Photoshop and InDesign skills, the highs and lows of proof-reading, and a little light cutting and sticking will take place too.

In celebration of all that was SO last decade, the Clare+ ZINE is going to be NOUGHTIES-themed. This means we want articles/poetry/artwork on Obama, illegal downloading, reality TV, the War on Terror, blogging, global warming, Freakonomics, YouTube, genetic engineering, social networking, Mugabe, The God Delusion, New Labour, celebrity, surveillance society, boom and bust, obesity, Ultrabeat and any anything else reminiscent of the last decade.
The day itself too will be a celebration of all things NOUGHTY BUT NICE – think Kylie and Winehouse to rock your socks off to, Borat jokes bouncing off the walls and loads and loads of organic fruit and veg.

To top it all off Clare+ will be hosting a celebration of the ZINE which we anticipate will be something super beautiful. We’re gonna rock the boat at the Spread Eagle on Kingsland Road, Shoreditch on Monday 8th February (WEEK 5).
The last P.A.R.T.Y being such a success we’re doing it all again. The magic will be unstoppable with longer opening hours (2am) and the night being just as smashing (get it?!). We’ll be on H’ton Street at peak times from Thursday, Week 4 through to Monday, Week 5 selling tickets (3 paand), doing sign-ups for the Build-a-Zine day, handing out copies of Issue One and available to answer any questions you may have!

- an EDITING WORKSHOP @ 4-5PM to learn valuable proof-reading and editing skills!
- a PHOTOGRAPHY WALK @ 1PM with a fab photographer to learn the art of taking great snaps!
